This is an early-stage experiment. Here is an honest look at why it exists and who is behind it.
It started with a small frustration. Trying to craft the perfect opening message to a complete stranger somehow feels more awkward than just meeting them in person. So we started asking a simple question. What if college students could stop searching for dates and start receiving them instead?
We think meeting may just be simpler. Have coffee. Get lunch. Share dinner. Take a walk somewhere public. If it works out, wonderful. If it does not, that is okay too. At least you had a real conversation instead of a week of typing.
That is why this is a managed matchmaking service rather than an app with an algorithm. A small team personally reviews future profiles, preferences, and availability to consider each possible introduction, then handles the planning, confirmation, and follow-up. We are not trying to build a feed of profiles to scroll through, and we are not claiming to scientifically predict love.
We are starting small on purpose. Rather than launching a giant national dating app on day one, we are testing the first pilots, beginning with students in the Sacramento and Davis region, before building out a full application. This lets us learn slowly, keep things personal, and be honest about what works.
