How it works.
Dating as a Student is a managed matchmaking service, not a dating app. You tell us when you are available and what kinds of dates you enjoy. We handle the searching, the planning, the confirmation, and the follow-up. Every introduction is reviewed and selected by a real person on our team.
Join the interest list
Enter your email address to join. That is all we need for now.
Complete your application
We will email you a private application where you can verify your identity and current student status.
Tell us who you are
Share your interests, major, availability, relationship goals, dating preferences, and personal boundaries. You will also complete a personality assessment and tell us about how you prefer to give and receive affection.
We review your profile personally
There is no automatic matching algorithm. A real person on our team reviews your application, preferences, personality, and photos to identify someone who may be a good fit.
Your photos remain private during the matching process. Our team uses them only to consider the preferences provided by both people.
Receive a weekly date invitation
When we find a potential match, we send you a date invitation by text on Monday or Tuesday, and you confirm by Wednesday for a possible date that Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. The invitation may include their:
- First name
- Age
- School or general area
- Major or field of study
- Personality traits
- Interests
- Relationship goals
- Other relevant profile information
Say yes or pass
Every invitation is optional. You can pass for free, with no penalty, and remain eligible for future invitations.
The date is confirmed only when you both agree
When both people accept, each person pays a $10 coordination fee. We then confirm the time, choose an appropriate public venue, make any necessary reservation, and send both people the complete date details.
Each person is responsible for their own food, drinks, transportation, and personal expenses.
Meet somewhere public
Every first date takes place at a public location selected around your availability, location, budget, and preferred type of date, such as coffee, lunch, dinner, or a simple activity.
No-show protection
If the other person fails to attend without properly cancelling, your coordination fee is refunded. Repeated no-shows may be removed from the service.
Share private feedback
Afterward, we ask how the date went, whether you felt comfortable, and whether you would like to see the person again.
Your feedback is private. It helps us improve future introductions and decide whether contact information should be exchanged when interest is mutual.
What you should know.
- Joining the list is the first step; admission comes after your application is reviewed.
- An accepted application does not guarantee a match or an introduction.
- A proposed date is an introduction; chemistry is yours to discover in person.
- Every date takes place in a public location.
- Safety requires active participation; no service can verify every user completely.
